About us

HOW THE ASSOCIATION WORKS

The Association is managed by an Executive Committee, whose members are elected at the Annual General Meeting (AGM).  The Committee meets several times a year to deal with any matters raised by members, organise events, arrange the AGM and represent the views of the KCRA members to relevant authorities.  As a member of KCRA if you have a concern or a proposal about the neighbourhood, please contact us.

KCRA members can also attend the AGM, usually held in April, which is an opportunity to raise any matters, talk to the committee, meet their local councillors and neighbourhood police as well as enjoy a drink with fellow residents.

MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS

The Association seeks to represent the rights and interests of residents living in the KCRA catchment and respond to your concerns. We keep you informed on important local issues and news. When appropriate we make representation on your behalf with RBKC and other authorities. We monitor and, if necessary, object to planning applications that affect this area. Our aim is to make this corner of Kensington a safe, pleasant, friendly neighbourhood community. We hold a Street Party every September on Thackeray Street, which is supported by local restaurants and businesses and has become a popular event. KCRA members are eligible for attractive discounts at many local restaurants, such as Cote Bistro, Como Garden, Ottoemezzo, Zuaya and the Builders Arms; and businesses including Gallery 19 and Imenio Hair & Beauty. We have a list of Useful Services and Tradespeople, all recommended by fellow members, so they are people you can reply on. If you would like the latest list, go to the Members’ Area. If you are a resident of KCRA catchment, why not help us and yourself by becoming a member. Individual membership is just £10 and £15 for household – which would pay for itself when you claim your first discount. Go to the Join & Renew section of this website.
